Spencer Creations
Terms & Conditions
Clear terms for visiting our site, placing a custom order, and working together on an evening gown.
Please read before ordering
The agreement in plain English
These terms apply when you use this website or contact Spencer Creations about a custom garment. They explain what happens at enquiry, fitting, approval, payment, and collection.
01 / Site use
You may browse this website for personal use and contact us about evening wear. Text, photographs, sketches, and design details belong to Spencer Creations unless stated otherwise. Please do not copy, sell, or publish them without written permission.
02 / Enquiries
An enquiry helps us understand your event, date, preferred silhouette, and budget. It is not an order. We will confirm whether the requested work can be accepted before any commission begins.
03 / Commission
A commission starts when we send written confirmation and you accept the quoted scope. The confirmation records the garment, agreed price, fitting plan, target date, and any materials or alterations discussed.
04 / Design approval
We use agreed measurements and design notes to make the garment. Small differences can occur because each piece is made by hand. A material, colour, or detail change requested after approval may alter the price or delivery date.
05 / Payment
The payment schedule is set out in your written quotation. Work may pause if an instalment is overdue. The final balance must be settled before the finished garment is collected or released for delivery.
06 / Fittings
Fittings take place at the times agreed with you. Please arrive wearing suitable undergarments and bring the shoes or accessories that affect the fit. Missed appointments may require a revised completion date.
The atelier standard
A careful process protects both sides
Spencer Creations works from Sandy Lane, Ascot, with each commission planned around the wearer and the event date. We will keep agreed information private, flag changes before they affect the work, and tell you promptly if a supplier delay or fitting issue changes the plan. You are responsible for sharing accurate measurements, attending fittings, and checking the approved details.
Details matter.
Keep the terms to hand
Send us your email and we will reply with the current wording and a direct contact route.
After approval
What happens if plans change?
Tell us as soon as your event, measurements, or design preferences change. We will review the practical effect with you before proceeding.
Changes
Requests made after design approval are considered case by case. We may need to charge for extra materials, additional labour, or work already completed.
Cancellation
You can ask to cancel by writing to [email protected]. Any refund or outstanding amount depends on the stage of the work, materials purchased, and the terms in your individual confirmation.
Finished work
Please inspect the garment at the final fitting. Tell us about a fault or fitting concern promptly so we can agree the appropriate next step. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Delivery
Collection and delivery arrangements are confirmed in writing. Risk passes to you when the garment is collected by you or delivered to the address agreed in the commission confirmation.
Your legal rights remain in place
These terms do not remove rights you have under UK consumer law. If a provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
